A chance to get behind the wheel of a big rig today in Milton.

There were plenty of sounds and sights at Milton's touch-a-truck event. Not to mention all the vehicles, like cement trucks, logging trucks, farm tractors, and even 18-wheelers. Hundreds of people show up every year. It's a free community event to engage kids on possible career choices.

Drivers demonstrated the equipment and answers questions.

"They (The Milton Recreation Department) do a great job, we have the public works dept., fire and rescue, here, and it is great to have the community come out and support their efforts. They are proud to show off their equipment that the tax payers give us," said Rep. Don Turner, R-Milton.

Along with the public works truck the kids got to explore a helicopter from Mansfield Heliflight and get the same view line workers have when they are making repairs.
