Tip leads police to Vermont shooting suspect
ORWELL, Vt. (WCAX) - Police have captured a man accused of attempted murder for allegedly firing a gun inside a home.
Vermont state police say the incident happened Friday at about 11:55 p.m. on Fisher Road in Orwell.
They say Trent Beayon, 23, fired a semiautomatic handgun at Paxton Taube, 25, inside Taube’s home after a dispute involving several people. After the shot was fired, police say Beayon fled.
No one was injured.
Investigators say Beayon was arrested late Monday afternoon in South Burlington after a tip from a member of the public. They say he surrendered to police without incident.
They say he’s due in court Tuesday to face charges of attempted murder, reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.
