Police investigating credit union robbery in Northeast Kingdom

ORLEANS, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont State Police are investigating a robbery at a credit union in the Northeast Kingdom.

It happened shortly after 3 p.m. Monday at the North Country Federal Credit Union in the village of Orleans.

Video surveillance shows a male suspect pointing a gun at the teller.

Police say the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, stole a bike, and then jumped into a car, heading north on River Road.

He is described as 5′5″ to 5′6,″ with a slender build.

The investigation is still ongoing.
