STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) - Police are investigating two weekend fires in Stowe.

Investigators say a call came in just after 7 p.m. Saturday from the Trapp Family Lodge.

When crews arrived, they found a woodshed fully engulfed in flames. They were not able to save it.

They say when they got that fire under control, they were alerted of another fire at a different shed nearby.

Crews quickly put out that one, too.

“I looked out my window over here and there was a glow. It’s a fire, so I came out; it was really roaring,” said Neil Putman, a witness.

Right now, it’s not clear if these fires are related to multiple open arson investigations in Stowe.

No one was injured.

The Department of Public Safety Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit and the Stowe Police Department are investigating the cause and origin of the fires.

Anyone with information about these fires is asked to contact the Vermont State Police in Williston at 802-878-7111 or contact the Vermont Arson Tip Award Program (VATAP) at 1-800-32-ARSON (1-800-322-7766).
